The first decorated Christmas tree was introduced to Virginia in 1842 by Charles Minnegrode at a home in Williamsburg, Virginia. The first recorded reference to the Christmas tree dates back to the 16th century in Strasbourg, Germany. According to the Virginia Christmas Tree Growers Association, the average growing time for a 6 foot Christmas tree is 7 years and there are an estimated 7 million growing in Virginia today, and each year, over 1.5 million Virginia grown trees are sold throughout the east coast. Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. Merry, Merry to all!
We are quite proud to be a Virginia company, and what better way to celebrate this than by celebrating Virginia!
