Bigler's Mill was once a small town in Virginia near Williamsburg in York County. It is now extinct, one of the many lost towns of Virginia. During the American Civil War, a field hospital had occupied the site of Bigler's Mill, which was previously known as Rippon Hall. During World War II, all of the residents of the towns of Bigler's Mill and nearby Magruder were cleared out so the U.S. Navy could build Camp Peary. Camp Peary later became well known as "The Farm," a training facility for the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). So if you are hoping to one day visit Porto Bello, the historic hunting lodge of Lord Dunmore, last royal governor of Virginia, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located on the grounds of Camp Perry, you are out of luck.
We are quite proud to be a Virginia company, and what better way to celebrate this than by celebrating Virginia!
