Today is "Stand Up To Cancer Day." There are two NCI designated cancer centers in Virginia. VCU Massey Cancer in Richmond and The University of Virginia Cancer Center in Charlottesville - named in memory of Emily Couric - former State Senator and sister to Katie Couric. An NCI designated cancer center does research and offers clinical trials that are often not available at other hospitals. Nearby Comprehensive Cancer Centers, which are the highest designation offered, are Johns Hopkins and Duke University. Can you think of a nicer setting, though, than Charlottesville if you find you are in need of the services they offer? Let's celebrate that such high caliber services are available just a car ride away!
We are quite proud to be a Virginia company, and what better way to celebrate this than by celebrating Virginia!
