The Trapezium House on North Market Street in Petersburg is likely one of the strangest homes you'll ever see. Built in 1817 by an eccentric Irish bachelor names Charles O'Hara, the house was built in the form of a trapezium without any right angles or parallel walls. Why? O'Hara's West Indian slaves convinced him that a house built with no 90 degree angles could not harbor ghosts or spirits. It sounds as if Mr. O'Hara might have been indulging in spirits when he was planning this house.
We are quite proud to be a Virginia company, and what better way to celebrate this than by celebrating Virginia!
