Legendary Santa and the Snow Queen at Miller & Rhodes. Snow Bear at Thalhimer's. The Santa Train. Richmond had several beloved Christmas traditions that drew shoppers and children from across the Commonwealth each holiday season. Miller & Rhodes introduced their "Legendary Santa" in 1938 and when the store closed, LS moved to the Children's museum. Snow Bear was introduced in 1970 and can still be seen at the Children's Repertory Theater. The Santa Train still runs annually through the vrespecialevents.org group. Did you enjoy any of these as a child, or with your child, or maybe even with your grandchild?
